Betrayed
26 March, 2003
Author: Lola
Best friends we once were,
Hanging out all the time,
Being there for one another
When our hearts had been broken.
We never left each others sides.
Then the day came,
When you betrayed our trust.
You hurt me the way I never expected,
You drank a little too much and
Slept with my only true love,
Tried to deny it,
But I knew all the lies.
Our friendship will never be the same,
That we both know.
No more telling our secrets,
No more laughing and crying.
You couldn’t be there this time,
For it was you who messed up.
I’d like to be friends still,
But I know I can’t trust you,
For you have ruined everything
We ever had,
So I’d like to say this to you now
I’m sorry Sara, I love and good-bye.

Meridian (205.188.209.69) -- Saturday, March 13 2004, 04:06 am In relation, to what your poem states, I once had a "friend". Well, that's what I called her; but I was dumbfounded because I was always the one who had to speak first for some reason. She used and abused my friendliness. "Betrayed" is a relation kinda poem for me; very comparative to what I went through. |
Holly A. Badolato (12.34.167.28) -- Monday, March 15 2004, 02:28 am I can definitly relate to this poem, because this past weekend...my best friend and my boyfried (they had been friends) went to a party. well i couldnt go because i had a report for school to do. well i got a call at 9pm that night saying my best friend and boyfriend got too drunk and were now having sex..i have never felt so betrayed til that night. she calls and leaves me messages on my cell apologizing...but i dont know how i could forgive her for what they both did...he apologizes and still wants to be together but i dont think that will work either...i just hope i will forget it and move on quickly...thanks for writing such a good poem. |
