Stand Up

I stand up just to hear you laugh,
I stand up just to see you smile,
I stand up only to get hurt,
Then I lay down and I cry.
The tears are flowing like a waterfall,
Staining my cheeks like rain,
The fear of knowing I'll fall again,
But once again I stand up.
I stand up just to see you back away,
I stand up just to hear you laugh at me,
I stand up only to get knocked down.
I hit the ground with pain in my heart,
And all I can do is cry.
For you I'll lay my head down,
For you I'll live in misery,
For you I'll stand up just to get knocked to the ground,
Then for you I'll lay down and I'll cry.
I’ll stand up just to hear you laugh,
I’ll stand up just to see your smile,
I’ll stand up only to get hurt once again,
Then I'll lie down and I'll cry.
I'll cry, I'll cry.
