Good-bye
26 April, 2003
Author: Lola
Joys of laughter are everywhere,
Tears of happiness from a good year,
Fall from every ones faces.
But the days are getting shorter,
With only a few more weeks to go,
New friends you have made
>From this far away boarding school,
Will be leaving shortly.
Home to your family and friends is
Where you want to be.
So many memories,
Many to cherish, some to forget,
As you sit in class, wondering what
Summer is going to be like,
You look around seeing all of your wonderful
New found friends, ones you want to keep.
Thinking to yourself, what will happen between us?
Will we last or fall apart?
Phone numbers, email and home addresses you collect,
But will this keep you in touch?
Or will you be too busy to give one a call?
Realizing, it’s almost over now
And leaving is not what you want to do.
Saying good-bye to everyone will be difficult,
I don’t want this year to come to an end.
But I have to say to my new friends, I love you and Good-Bye!
