Love Hurts by Lola

you're finally back and
it has been so long since
I have seen that beautiful face
I still love you so much
you're the one that'll always hold
the key to my heart.
but you love her and no one else
you want her to love you,
you want to forget your past
forget the one that has opened your heart
the one who told you
it's o.k. to fall in love.
forget the one who fell in love with you
the one you lied to
saying "I love you too!"
you need to know how much it hurts,
how it hurts to fall in love
and then get led on.
how it hurts to get shut down
and your heart-broken in two.
the fear of never being able to love again,
the hurt of seeing your loved one move on,
the pain of knowing you will never be
with your loved one again.
I tell you from experience
it hurts to fall in love!

I dont know what it is like to be in love. Actually when i sit and really think about it, i dont even know what love is. Nice poem. Great job!

i just broke up with my boyfriend of a very long time and to tell you the truth i feels good to know that there is someone else who feels just like i do. so many say that love doesn't hurt but i beleive it does. Thank you

thanks you guys for all the nice comments. Secret, there are many out there who feel the same as we do about love. it's very painful, and now that i look back at it, i realize i'm happy i've fallen in love, even if it was with someone that i didn't mean shit too. thanks again.
