Dreams

Author: Lucinda Lee Tinsley
I dream of wishes on falling stars,
and dream of that magical rainbow I,
and it will take me to a place
where there are no moretears,
and nothing more for me to fear.
I dream of oceans that reach out
and actually touch the moon,
and I dream of seeing,
the snow that will fall in July
and to see in December,
the flowers at bloom.
I dream that the wisps of wind I feel around sometimes,
is actually my mom, an angel in flight,
and with each breath that I take,
I still hear her whispers of hope and strength,
and her gentle lullabies,
and I dream at times that she really did not die.
But my dreams are what keeps me going
and what keeps my heart alive,
and my dreams are what I wish for,
and without them I would be dead inside.
Dreams give us hope for what lies ahead,
and they give us a reason to get out of bed,
and if we hold steady and true
our dreams can take us far.
