The Choice

Author: Lynn
you are in the hall again,
screaming out my name
struggling to stay conscious,
shooting sanity into your veins
you did it just for a kick,
you did it just for a high,
how did i get dragged down into this,
i keep asking myself why
this world of lunacy,
has got to come to an end
even if it means ripping out your heart,
and losing my only friend
caring people come around,
but you've turned them all away
but the sad truth about it is,
i've done nothing but the same
our lives are crumbling down,
are you too blind to see
but the needle covers your eyes,
killing the bond between you and me
i am in the dark alone,
my mind battered and bruised
torn between love and loniless,
but tired of being accused
your heart is at a different pace,
your eyes rolled in the back of your head
the breath from your mouth is ragged,
this skin you are about to shed
it is a bravely fought fight,
and a battle you could have won
but my hands are around your throat,
so all this madness can be done
