Goodbye To Rainbows
11 September, 2003

I still remember
When I first saw your face.
And I'll never forget
Our first warm embrace.

Or our very first date,
That day at the fair.
The day that I won you
That big teddy bear.

I still remember
The first time we made love.
How the following day
You were all I thought of.

I won't forget how you trembled
As you held me tight,
Or the pleasure we shared
For the rest of that night.

It all seemed like magic
When we first fell in love.
The end of the rainbow,
A gift from above.

But nothing's forever,
And all things must end.
Like a leaf in a storm,
You were gone with the wind.

So I said goodbye to rainbows
And horses with wings,
Unicorns and teddy bears,
And magical things.

Goodbye to my heart,
And the song that it sings.
Goodbye to rainbows
And horses with wings.

It's painful to watch a rainbow like that disappear. I like this poem, Mark! It is almost like a song, or maybe it is a song. Well written, and I enjoyed the flow of it. Thanks!

Untitled (just like most of the time)

I hope you haven't experienced this because I can feel the pain between each line you have written. It was really smooth. Good job.
