The Killer
4 August, 2003
Author: Mark Spencer
I was looking for a killer
With notches on his gun.
And if I ever find him
His killing days are done.
His MO's been the same
>From the time his spree began.
And I've been getting closer
Its like I know the man.
He's lead me on this chase
And I've been right on his heels.
Every time he takes a life
There's so much he reveals.
Now I've nearly got him,
His days are getting short.
The next time the slayer strikes,
His plans, I'm going to thwart.
I've got him in my sights,
He's on the hunt again.
He's chosen another victim,
His attack will soon begin.
Yet I've gotten there too late,
The victim's already dead.
But I've got the killer cornered,
In the darkness up ahead.
Stepping slowly from the shadows
He revealed his identity.
I gasped in horror when I saw him,
For the killer..was me.
