Ariel Sharon
17 May, 2003
Author: Mark Spencer
He stands atop a mountain,
Surrounded from all sides.
By enemies who seek his life,
As others mock and deride.
They call him an infidel,
Say he's evil to the core.
They conspire to destroy him,
And the people they abhor.
For a few thousand dollars
To their families and wives,
Those who claim to worship Allah
Sell to Mammon their lives.
Strapping bombs to their bodies,
They rarely make a fuss.
They'll detonate it in a mall,
Or on a crowded bus.
And these acts they justify,
Saying Israel's at fault.
Their presence is detestable,
Which warrants this assault.
Now backed into a corner,
Israel is fighting back.
To defend their right to live,
They respond to these attacks.
So he must give the orders,
To end the violence.
His troops engage the cowards,
As they take up the offence.
And I for one stand by them,
Though I hope I'm not alone.
My support goes to Israel,
And Ariel Sharon.
