The First Stone
16 March, 2003
Author: Mark Spencer
Who is the one, so free of sin?
Casting judgments on other men.
Come thee down from thy lofty throne.
If thou dost dare cast the first stone.
Who art thou in thy arrogance?
Ye who convict upon first glance.
When didst God relinquish to thee,
His right to judge humanity?
Know thee now what I’ve come to say,
Ye shan’t be warned beyond this day.
Ignore these words and face the cost.
That thy immortal soul be lost.
The right to judge is God’s alone.
‘Tis He who shall cast the first stone.
So judge thee not lest ye be judged.
Be not the fool who can’t be budged.
A bitter judgment will be known,
By those who dare cast the first stone
