My Odyssey

I Have Trod The Misty Roads
Where Demons Lurk A-Haunting.

I've Faced The Dragon In His Lair,
And Found His Power Wanting.

I Stood Atop The Precipice
And Gazed Upon The Light.

I Saw Before Me Streets Of Gold,
And I Marveled At The Sight.

I Saw A River And A Throne
That Filled My Heart With Wonder.

I Heard A Lamb Call Out My Name,
His Voice The Sound Of Thunder.

"Your Life Has Only Just Begun,
It's Not Time To Pass These Gates."

"So Much Remains For You To Do,
You Must Face What Now Awaits."

And As The Light Began To Fade,
I Felt Myself Upended.

And When I Woke I Realized,
My Odyssey Had Ended.

Near Death Experience

How many people can relate to the events depicted in my near death experience? If you can, please share them with me.

Mark, when I was in seventh grade, I was put in a private school that focussed on judgment without grace or salvation. I cried at night, and asked God to take me before I made more mistakes in life that would condemn me. I don't remember falling asleep, but I found myself approaching Jesus who was standing upon white marble steps in front of His throne. He welcomed me, told me that I could not stay for long, but that He had brought me there to let me know that I was not going to Hell, and that He wanted to allay my fears. This burden was lifted off of me. He told me I must return, and I told Him I wanted to stay with Him because with Him I was happy, and then he asked me, "Don't you want to go back to your mother and father?" I told Him that they would soon be there with Him. He responded, "You must go back because you have not finished My work, and you will be My servant, but I will bring you back soon, but you must go back for now," and He let go of my hand. At that time, the word "servant" left a bad taste in my mouth because I did not understrand the biblical meaning, but at eighteen, I came to understand that there is nothing greater. I had a lot of physical sickness when I was young, and my mother used to watch me at night to make sure that I kept breathing when I had asthma, so I honestly don't know if it was a near death experience or not, but it seemed like no dream to me.
