The Photograph
16 January, 2003
Author: Mark Spencer
Here I sit, with a broken heart,
my tears still haven't dried.
I gaze upon the photograph
of someone else’s bride.
Once her heart belonged to me,
a gift I held so dear.
But she'll be in his arms tonight,
and so I shed a tear.
If I had it to do over,
she would be my bride.
I wouldn't drive my love away
to save my stubborn pride.
She meant everything to me.
She taught me how to laugh.
And so my tears will fall tonight,
upon her photograph.

Martin Vann (67.30.70.176) -- Tuesday, April 1 2003, 05:04 pm Mark, You always tell us something in such a way that we feel what you feel and on, and on. Everything has a clear message, you intimidate us with our own fears and show us the way out, you provide light where we have darkness and on and on. To Lisa, I agree with you, actually, most of Mark's work could be put to music, I have heard his words in my heart many times. Good luck on your effort. Also, you might visit the musical thoughts category in this site, its on the front page. You will be impressed, I think. Thanks Mark, MartinV |
