The Promise
16 January, 2003
Author: Mark Spencer
Whenever I'm weary and life seems too much to bare.
I've found comfort in knowing that you will be there.
I'll face my battles and die in your arms each night.
To be reborn by morning and go back out and fight.
You're my love, my dearest friend, and this I swear is true;
From now until forever I will be in love with you.
Whenever you need me, I will take you in my arms.
And always be there for you to keep you safe from harm.
As time marches on and we reach our final days,
I will hold you close to me, and this is what I'll say:
You're my love, my dearest friend, and this I swear is true;
From now until forever I will be in love with you.
