My Prayer
15 January, 2003
Author: Mark Spencer
Lord in heaven, to you I pray
For guidance in my works today.
Let me not stumble from my path,
To seek your love and not your wrath.
Give me patience in all I do,
And give me strength to see things through.
For you're my beacon in the night.
When darkness falls, you are my light.
If not for you I would not be,
Nor too would all the things I see.
You are my teacher and my friend.
You're my beginning and my end.
In all I am, in all I do,
I dedicate my life to you.
And though I know you're always there,
Still must I offer you this prayer.
To keep me from the paths of sin,
In Jesus name I pray......Amen.

Martin Vann (67.28.91.219) -- Wednesday, January 29 2003, 09:39 pm Mark, I love the company you keep, and of whom you speak. Your words are what we feel, and in many ways, what we might say, if, only, we took the time. I have found that some of us, well, actually, most of us, myself included, never even mention God, until we need him. I find it ironic that we know when we need him yet, never take the time to speak to him. Thanks again Martin |
