If You Have A Moment
24 October, 2003
Author: ShyHeart
I’ve seen a Rainbow and a Lightning Bolt
At the same time, share the sky…,
I’ve felt the wind blow, and dry the ground,
Beneath, my bare feet
I’ve felt the touch, of someone special
Then, felt it disappear, if, you have a moment,
Let me tell you, something about my life…,
Got it all wrapped up, within , the passing of the years
I’ve skipped a rock, across a creek
Laid a kiss, upon my lady’s cheek
Saw, my baby born
And her tiny heart, made me weep
Seen taxes go so high
Made me think, of Pike’s peak
I’ve flown a kite and my mother cried
Get in here, if lightning strikes, you will fry!
Heard a baby cry, when, my wife died
The tears, came from, my eyes
Heard a friend say, you will be okay
Life, is just this way…,
Saw a rocket, take men, to the moon
My soup is ready, can’t find a spoon
The phone is ringing, its our girl
Hi, dad, how are, you doing?
Let me tell you something,
About this life of mine
Got it all wrapped up,
With the passing of the years
I’ve seen a Rainbow and a Lightning Bolt
At the same time, share the sky
I’ve felt the wind blow, and dry the ground,
Beneath my bare feet
"If, you have a moment…,"

I really liked it more and more as I read along. This I think is my new favorite coming from you. There is a lot here.Very tightly written and poetically woven. To this I say, Yes! Yes! You GO MARTIN! Did I mention that I enjoyed this one a lot? Ha! Ha! Haaaa! Thank you! Warm Regards, Ben |
Martin Vann (171.75.207.226) -- Saturday, October 25 2003, 09:45 pm Thank You Ben, I'd say this is a poem of a Life-time, that time was mine. Had a lot to say, couldn't find the words, and I really tried to get the feel in every line, to express, this life of mine. But, hey, its not over, I may still have time, to write another line, for you, and all of those other, friends of mine. Thanks Ben, P.S. Angle Laney is very good, I wonder, is she adopted? I mean, I have read your work, and I know the pit, where-in my lines lie, but after reading Angel's poems, well, just wondered? Of course, I'm not serious, this line is for the readers who don't know, that Ben and I are, fairly, reasonably, sort of, kind of, never met, except on the net, but good friends! MartinV |
