What Else, Can I Say
15 October, 2003
Author: ShyHeart
Hey, I was thinking of you
Actually, that’s about, all I do
Gotta, get this, sheet rock in
Hear, some, newly weds, are moving in
I remember when, we were kids
And after, they poured, that fresh cement
They all went home, then I picked up a twig
Drew a heart for me & you, both or initials to
My, how the time will fly, life got hard
Like that fresh, cement, but the heart I drew
And our initials to, they still survive
Can’t wait, to get home to you
What I did, as a kid, to pay for all
Those pretty, flowers that I gave to you
And all those drive-in movies, we went to
I still do, and you still go, but now, I work for myself
Building homes for newly Weds and wondering
What they say, when the see that little corner
A special place, in their new drive way…,
There is a heart, and our initials,
What Else, Can I Say?

Martin Vann (63.185.80.179) -- Friday, July 30 2004, 04:55 pm Terrie & Pam, Seems as we look back, the picture of our lives, becomes so clear, some things we did we are proud, other things, we just pull of the shelf of our minds. thei poem was about a time, as young man, I had to sweat in the sun earn money for my honey. You know, what life is still grand, and all the world is full of honey bees, making all that honey, just for you and me. Thank You -MV |
