“How many of us, have been this Knight Of Darkness, or, Shared, This Maiden’s Plight?”

He is a lowly man, not a Knight of honor
His steed, though fast and powerful
Like his words, is dark, as his heart, at night
Only seeking pleasure, he is a crusader, not a Knight

He draws his blade, without honor
There is a maiden, to be saved…,
Yet, he thrust, his blade, deep, into her flesh
He is not a Knight, just a crusader, seeking his own pleasure

Her heart cries out, as he penetrates, deep into her very, sole
She can’t say no, for to her, loneliness, is so, much worse
Than, anything, he can do, to her maiden’s flesh
She needs to hear his words, She’s captured by, her own curse

She lives inside her castle, furnished by her mind
To hell, with truth, she is so, lonely…,
He arrives late at night, and offers her
The sweetest wine, the poison, of his vine

He is a lowly man, not a Knight of honor
His steed, though fast and powerful
Like his words, is dark, as his heart, at night
Only seeking pleasure, he is a crusader, not a knight of honor

Awesome one Martin!

I kinda was stumbling on this one Martin. I love the exquisite words and every sentence, but I have a question. What exactly is the Knight doin when he penetrates her, her in what form, and what does she represent? If it's not too much trouble, could you kinda lay down briefly for me, I'm kinda wondering here. Nice use of words, really got me thinkin!~Enchantress

The Black Knight is, in this poem...,

Enchantress; Hmmmmmm, Ah, Well, Da, here goes, I'll keep it simple. This Black Night in this poem, is a modern day, JERK! Some things never change, even with time. I guess that takes away from the poetic presentation, but he is a jerk, taking "advantage" of a sweet girl who is so lonley and a target for his sweet gestures and so forth. She is "Enchanted" by his Knightly B.S. because she is in need of his attention, careing less about his intentions to only ravish her, with out truly, caring for her. Hope you get the point? MartinV

No, I thank You, Enchantress

Enchantress, I was concerned that my explanation of the Black Knight, may have come across to you as me being rude. Of course, that was not my intention. I thought perhaps, your romantic heart saw, or heard something else. perhaps you did? Sometimes, when I write, I think of what I have done to hurt others, and although the time and distance has separated us, I still need to apologize as best I can, for in my life, I have been the Black Knight. Thank you for understanding. MartinV

Definitely facing reality

OUTSTANDING MARTIN V! I enjoyed your poem on "The Black Knight".... Yep! Beware of that person without a soul.... That's a person that likes to take advantage of your weakness, when it comes to love! Great job on elaboration Mr. Vann! As always your poetry has graceful depth to it!! Keep on writing Martin! Smile, Meridian

As You Sleep Alone, The Black Knight, Comes To You

Mommie2bratsus, If, you sleep a lone at night, and feel you heart, reach out to arms that are not there, Beware, fair maiden, the Black Knight, is in search of you. Should he find you, as you slumber, weakened by your maiden's dream's, well, God help you, if, he finds you in your sleep. His love will be so painfull, yet you will cry for more, then when the sun rises, you will find, once again, you are by yourself. Beware all you fair maidens, the black knight, rides at night, when you are a sleep, he will come into your heart, beware, all, you fair maidens. MartinV
