Can’t Tell You A Thing About Love

- Dedicated, To B-Kay -

I can sail a ship, in a hurricane
I can even tell you, if its going to rain
But, I can’t tell you a thing, about love
Don’t even know, where, it comes from

I can’t sleep at night, the sun shines so, bright
In the mornings I’m greeted, by heaven’s moon-light
I wash all my clothes, where the dishes, use to go
My dishes are all broken, because, I hit, spin-dry

When the light turns green, I stop, immediately!
Then, when its red, I proceed, carefully…,
Don’t want to be responsible, for hurting anyone
I always watch my speed, hope, you drive like me

I haven’t eaten for at least three days
I give them my order, they ask, Is this to go?
I look back and say, yes, please, take it away
And I haven’t eaten, for at least, three days!

I’ve got to find away, to put all this, sun shine in the shade
And teach the rain to fall back up, instead of falling down
If, I could find away, I’d never get sun-burned
And I never have to mow, all that grass away

I’m sitting here, in this chair,
cutting my own hair
Wishing, I had, a sharper pair of pliers
Hey, if this is love, I can’t, get much higher

I guess, you are wondering, why I wrote this poem
Has, your good friend, gone insane?
No, I’m feeling fine, just can’t seem, to find my mind
But, some how, my heart, fits me like a glove

Sorry…,

“I can’t tell you a thing, about LOVE”
