Self-centered
16 September, 2002
Author: Barbara Goodhew
Most of my poems are about my feelings.
Others have their own special feelings.
Happiness, sorrows, worries and problems.
So wrapped up in my own world I forget.
If I could change anything about me it would be that.
It's not that I don't care, cause I do, I guess I just don't think.
They say admitting it is half the battle. Well this battle
I'm going to win.
Being self centered makes you feel good for awhile.
Then you realise it's hard to have a sincere smile.

It takes a particular type of person to care about others' problems. Not everyone is going to, and that does not make them bad people. It's all in personality type. |
