Well, its not a game and its a shame,
The things that some, lovers do
To get what they want…,
But, its never what they really, need

I’ve traveled on the back road
That comes around to love
But, I’ve never have been, able
To, make that turn…,
No, I’ve never found real love,
maybe its just, around, that next curve

Its Passion, Passion, all I ever find
But that’s good enough, I’m a simple man
Think, I’ll, just, just let things be…,

I know that some have made that turn
And have two cars in the garage
And all I have, is this old, back road…,
But, I’ll tell you what…,

I’ve never found, it to be cold at night
I’ve, never had to sleep alone
No anger ever covered me…,
As a blanket in my own home

Its Passion, Passion, all I’ve ever known
But, that is good enough, good enough for me,
I’m a simple man…, think I’ll just, just let things be

Another night on this old back road
Another’s lips, touch my own
She looks into my eyes…,
swears that her love is true
How much longer…,
Can this gone on

Then I pulled into, this lonely,
West Texas town, needed gas
My tank was dry,
been driving on the back road…, all night

She said, that will be 15.95
Thanks and I hope, you have a good night
Then, I asked her when, she got off,
Her reply was, not til three

Its Passion, Passion, all I ever find

Amanda C. I think all poets are song writers.
When we write, there is always a reason, sometimes revealed in the words, sometimes not. Consider any song you like, then put your own poems' words to the music. Amanada C., you might be surprised!
