Even As She Sleeps
2 February, 2003
Author: ShyHeart
She sleeps, yet still, she weakens me
Filling my heart with so much love
Her breathing, so soft, as if not to disturb her own rest
Truly, she must also be breathing for me
For I can not think of her, and breath for myself
Her soft beauty has taken not only my heart, But my inner being as well
For I must not gaze upon her for long
Else my very heart forget its's purpose
And bring eternal darkness to these eyes
So, brightly filled woth love for what they see
Even as she sleeps

Mark Sencer (152.163.189.69) -- Thursday, February 6 2003, 12:43 pm Great poem Martin. One thing you're forgetting about your name and its meaning though. Mars is the red planet that rules Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. The sign of Aries heralds in the season of spring--when everything awakens, grows, sprouts, rebirths after the dormant winter months. Mark |
