The Poet
12 January, 2003
Author: ShyHeart
A harvester of feelings, thoughts and dreams,
taking their nourishment from our joy and pain.
Their words have emotion that open our eyes,
with pens made from rainbows, they color our lives.
Using a language known by few,
their pen is perceptive, sometimes cruel.
But never dishonest, usually, too honest.
They can strip our hearts naked, or clothe us in gold.
Where do they come from and where do they go,
these people called poets, who can see through our soles
