The Sound Of Silence
12 January, 2003
Author: ShyHeart
The love is there, the words are not
I have the need, to hear them spoken
Like food upon an empty plate
Its there, its, not, its there, its not
My weakness is that I am human
but, only feel, the sound of silence

Mark Spencer (152.163.188.40) -- Sunday, January 19 2003, 09:56 pm The deafening emptiness of silence, however painful, can only serve as fuel for the creative nature of a true poet. Keep them coming Martin. Never let that river cease its flowing, lest it dry up, to never be heard from again. |
Martin Vann (63.208.43.112) -- Tuesday, January 28 2003, 06:17 pm The time you take to read and respond to anyone's efforts, are the truest gift a poet earns. Yor are all so very, sensitive and understanding. As if, we are all raised in the same house as children. Perhaps we were? Thank You, From Martin |

Lori Ann Day (198.81.26.167) -- Saturday, February 22 2003, 11:39 am Your poem expresses truth, but on the other hand, I've heard all the words, and rarely seen the actions that express the words "I love you." I see people happy in illusion, and this makes my heart sad. Maybe they need a reason to live or a crutch, but it is false. If one loves in action, the words ought to come out easily like breathing. Thank you for your poem. |
