Well written words are like old ships,
they sail the open seas
Their sails filled with the summer breeze
Their progress smooth, they glide, it seems
Their course is straight, well written words
can set you free

The harbor lies just ahead
but this is not our journeys end
our sails will fill again one day
with words of magic, from our minds
our soles refreshed, our spirits climb

Well written words can fill our sails
and take us where we’ve never been
They set our course, into the wind
What life they have, your words and mine
It doesn’t matter, how dark the day
Well written words, will light the way.

You describe flight, and I fly all the time. Objectively, I can fly like an eagle or a hawk,
and view it all from above.
Well written words fly with wings, and make the
heart soar like when a songbird sings.

You had read one of my poems and mentioned, you that you felt as if you had heard the words before, in spirit I assume. Strange, because as I read your reply, here, I remember reading a poem of yours and my reply was going to be. "You have the wigns of an Eagle, the strength of Hawk, yet a Dove's Heart."

Amazing, what I discover in reading poems, words shared from the heart.
