One Man
11 January, 2003
Author: ShyHeart
I am a man, within a man,
a soul, within a soul.
One man works from eight to five,
the other looks for paradise.
One man says, "I’ll greet this day",
the other says, I’ll fly away.
One man says, "life is good",
the other says,
"mankind should focus more on kind
and less on man,
then life really, would be good."
I find confusion in my quest,
because I follow two of me,
which one is right, which one is best,
what answer is there,
for a man like me.
One man satisfies life’s daily needs
and then there is this other man,
who hides so, deep inside of me,
the one that cries, my god, my god,
please, why won’t you set me free.

Let neither fool you in your quest, or rip your chariot asunder. Learn to control both forces, and let neither dominate you. Your writing is thought provoking. God Bless You. |
