Passion Of Christ
4 March, 2004
Author: Marty Henry
A movie that painted the old saying of, a picture is worth a thousand words.
His pain and suffering were definitely heard.
In the beginning he’s praying in the midst of the fog,
Knowing his life on earth wouldn’t last long.
I could feel and see the frighten man on the outside,
But the path he walked would take him to die.
As he was being judged by the people and the priest,
I felt the Devils angels being released.
While watching him being beat and whipped, like no other I’ve ever seen,
I just wanted to jump through that screen.
The sorrow and the anger that I felt, not one person offered to help.
I know to lash back at someone is not pleasing to GOD,
But I could not have stood there and watch this go on.
As I sat in my seat I felt my heart, faster and faster it would beat.
I was taught this was suppose to be,
but I know in my heart, I would of tried to set him free.
With all those people mocking him in disgrace,
You could still see the love in his face.
When they put the stakes in his hands,
You could feel his pain throughout the land.
While I watched his blood run down that tree,
I wanted even more to jump through that screen.
As all the Devils angels laughed and threw their spit,
They too will have their everlasting walk in the place,
We call the pit.
With all of his pain and tears of bloodshed,
Something told me to remember what was only written in red.
To turn the other cheek, to pray for our enemies.
This movie painted the perfect picture that he truly died,
FOR YOU AND ME.
