It was winter time of 69.
I was around seven years old, snowing and blowing, sure was cold.
Listening to the radio for all the school closings.
Yes I screamed no school for me.
Time to put on my winter clothing.

Mom said don’t forget your hat and shovel the walk.
But Mom I want to go out to play,
I don’t want to hear no back talk she would say.
With my eyes watering shoveling snow,
Using my sleeve to wipe my nose.

A break in the clouds a peak of sunshine.
Bright shinning sparkles reflecting my watering eyes.
Kind of pouting in my little boy ways
Trying to wipe some of my tears away.

The cold in my fingers down to my toes.
A gust of wind something blowing in the snow.
Blowing in our bushes, was something green.
There it was a picture of a man looking at me.

The numbers of five we’re on all sides.
Wow I said money,’ That was a lot in 69.
Memories of that $5.00 bill, still gives me chills.
When I start thinking about my first picture of Mr Abraham Lincoln.

This is cute!

My first find was on the floor at a supermarket in Las Vegas.

Adorable! I have a picture of me when I was 5 years old and found a 20 dollar bill in the ditch! I was in Heaven! I gleamed at my other sisters! (I have three older ones!)
