Candy Clouds

A shoal of ghostly fishes slowly float
along the azure ripples, quickly chased
by snapping crocodiles. A washed-out boat
pursues the quaint parade. With greatest haste
a giant hamster darts across the blue.
Perhaps he is the hungry hunter, bane
of Sapphire Kingdom, or the kangaroo
who jumps upon a candy counterpane.
Who eats up all the white marshmallow shapes?
The amber ruler of the skies will know.
He watches every antic, while he drapes
across a plumped up pillow, face aglow,
and toasts the changing pictures cruising by,
his fiery arms outstretched across the sky

I was looking at the sky ( Sapphire Kingdom) and noticed all the clouds were like animal shapes ... fishes, crocs, hamsters etc and then I noticed as they moved along the sky they disappeared, so I made up this poem that some one was eating them 'cos theywere marshmallows and the only one who knew ws the ruler of the sky (the sun) I tell you it was a moment of fantasy! LOL!! |

I just wanted to say, your imagination is outstanding! I too, look at the clouds, and they remind me of food sometimes too! They sort of look like mashed-potatoes, don't they?
