Forever

Sometimes I wonder how long forever is
Could it be an eon, a year, a week, a day
Could it be but a single moment or a last breath
Or could it be a dream away.
Could it be just a word
To show you really care
Not a physical thing at all
Ungrasped by time and space
Forever could be the longest mile
A never accomplished goal
a word of promise, or defeat
or pledge of eternity
