Mom ~ I love you a lot an I always will.
But I wonder at times ~At times like this one.
I wonder why you don't take me seriously.
I tell you I am moving out when I am eighteen.
You say "Oh yea right Melissa"
Once I am eighteen you or anyone cannot Control me anymore.
v I will be consider as an adult.
I will have start out on my own.
Am sorry but this Is just the truth
I hope you understand.
But you should take me more seriously.
And be prepared for when I wont be living with you anymore.
Don't worry though ~ I will come and visit you all.
I wont be like my brother and sisters.
But I need to start on my own life, someday and sometime.
And when I am eighteen that's going to be the day.
But all I ask if for you to take this more seriously.
I love you and all, but there's a time when I'll
Need to have my own place and all
and that time is when I am eighteen ~ in two years.

crystal (12.221.170.97) -- Sunday, December 8 2002, 01:19 am that reach my heart and you are right moms should take any of there kids seriously because when it happens they say you never told me any thing but you did tell her they just dont want to see you live cause you all know that a hardest thing for a parent is to let there kids go so thats maybe one of the resons that she would act that way she cant take the reality of you leaving her |
Karen Rogers (24.102.65.193) -- Thursday, May 8 2003, 10:48 pm My mom is just the same way. I always tell her as soon as I can Im gone, she is always like yea ok! She dont believe, but, then again ya never know, you just mite not leave when you are 18 but then again you mite leave. I guess Mom's just dont like it when their kids leave, they have been around for years and years and then just one day they get up and pack and leave and only come by once in a while but then again thats life, mom's just have to realize that they will get through it. It just a part of life, they dont want to see their babies leave and go start a new life in the Real World! but we do and they deal with it. so dont wry she will take you serioulsy when she sees you looking for places and boxes all around. Sometimes it takes a mom to see things for her to take them seriously. It was a great poem Melissa, I really liked it because it refers to me and my mom as well. Great Job, I am looking forward to reading other writings by you. Keep up the good work. |
