The overdone look
of midnight reality
it's a much better life
that's a brutality.
looking so overwhelmed
praying under the milky way
you wanted to leave
i wanted you to stay.
there was hope
when i looked in your eyes
the morning i could not cope
such a clever disguise.
soaked up and soft
you took my emotion
up and aloft.
to much to hold
especially
if your hard and cold.
