No Morning Smile
1 June, 2002
Author: Mental
sunrise slum
the feeling
left me numb.
no morning smile
just a look
i left myself for awhile.
the scene was as frozen
as it was outside
that night i was the victim chosen
and in my confusion i would confide.
over time i sat confused
this couldn't be happening
my emotions were being abused.
one single night
i can still recite
emotion from emotion
time was not time
at those hours.
