First Flicker
21 December, 1999
Author: Mental
The moonlight burned
an awaited milestone
has been overturned.
my first flame
was only a flicker
my first downfall
was a real kicker.
my first late romance
wasn't for real
it was only for our self-satisfaction
with no true feel.
it was a teenage charade
a fake reality
a self-controlled trade
for a self-portrait vanity.
no real love
none of it ever remained
sometimes i still think about it
i try not to keep it maintained.
but it's part of my memory,
part of myself
another blind story
from my inner shelf.
