Freedom
6 August, 2002
Author: Barbara Goodhew
To be a bird would be nice.
Soaring up high in the sky.
Nobody to give you unwanted advice.
No stresses, when weather turns cold fly to warm places.
Tour the world for free.
Oh to be a bird and to be that free.

Capricorn (62.30.217.106) -- Wednesday, March 12 2003, 12:52 pm This is a beautiful poem Barb and I wish I was that bird with the freedom you described so well. Martin Vann (65.57.58.67) -- Thursday, March 13 2003, 04:44 pm Simple logic, written in simple words, beautiful expression, wish I could fly. Simple words, that feel so clean and fresh. I love the freedom your words express. A little bird that can escape the summer heat and winter cold while we throw wood on the fire or try and get our air conditioner fixed! I love this short story, not bad for seven year old. Barb, what a compliment to have someone think your ten again? Thank You, MartinV |
