As I Watch Him Sleep

I imagine him asleep
eyes closed ..over his stomach
head resting over the soft pillow
arms holding it firmly
going around it..
as if he would
hug tightly his body with mine.
Breathing slow...deep..
as he sleeps.
And I lay beside him
resting my head upon my hand
watching him as he slumbers
touching his hair
with a feathery touch
bend down to kiss soft
upon those silent closed lips
" sleep well my love"
..as i keep a watch over you
dream of me ..as I wait
for you"
Absorbing the view
into my eyes
a moment in time
seemed eternity.
Slowly he stirs
from an ocean of deep seas
where the gentle waves
wake him and bring him
back into the arms
of mine.
