Somewhere Under The Rainbow

Somewhere under the rainbow
Children play
They grow up under the rainbow
We see it every day

Somewhere under the rainbow
Parents cry
They pray for lost little children
Who didn’t have to die

Sometimes I wish upon a star
And hope I wake to find this
Far behind me

Let the morning light reveal
This was a dream that wasn’t real
Oh God, please hear me

Somewhere under the rainbow
A child is fine
She plays under the rainbow,
Why then, oh why can't mine...

Judy Garland

The topic reminds me of the flip side version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, by Judy Garland!! I wish life were that easy too!! Where no one had to meet death, and the world was just a better place without contamination, if you know what I mean....

I hope you continue writing those gifted poems you create!! I enjoy reading them!!

May Heaven smile upon you always!!
