I remember well that last day when we where young.
You said you didn't want to hurt me,
You didn't want us to go wrong.
I understand your thinking,
Now that I am grown. I haven't seen you in years
I miss you terribly, But I know your always here.
You see I have this place where I keep your picture safe,
And the words you said stay locked deep in me,
For I know this distance makes it so we'll never be.
Don't worry about me, Love,
My spirit is strong.
My only regret is loving you to young

simply put: Wow... great impact! I am an old guy, and I thought I'd seen most of what was there to be seen - but this has such depth and strength to it - I understand what you are saying here, and I have to admit that I wish that I had used some of the lines and phrases you have used, not only here, but in your other works.
