Equilibrium
29 February, 2004
Author: Pamela O'Brien
There are two types of passion;
Natural passion
Which lies beneath the skin
Beyond the heart
That which cannot be described
Or identified
This kind of intesity
Lingers above our bodies
Searching for something divine
In contrast,
There is acquired passion;
Which we develop within ourselves
As the universe swallows us whole
And our only option
Is to embrace the beautiful
Seek comfort physically
Lyrically
Sometimes spiritually.....
Neither one is superior
Borh genuine in origin
Influential upon our behavior
Misunderstood by common society
And yet, within me
They battle for equilibrium
