Bag Lady
15 February, 2004
Author: Pamela O'Brien
I see her walking the lonely streets
Of this country town I've grown up in
And I often wonder to myself
What sort of terrible thing happened to her?
Maybe, she lost a lover
And gave up on living altogether
Turned to the flowing liquor
To better the bitter situation
And I notice a faded light in her eyes
That reminds me of myself
Perhaps she was like me once
Just searching for that light in somebody else
I see her walking the lonely streets
Of this country town I've grown up in
And I often smile, even though I'm sad
Because she is too, but she always smiles at me

Secret (199.216.176.5) -- Friday, February 20 2004, 03:38 am Often time in life we find ourself wondering if someone we see has experienced the same situations as our selves. These are the true people with whom we have something to learn. What do YOU have to learn from her? |
