Tension In The Air
14 February, 2004
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Another beautiful day
Passes you by
Like a person passing by in the street
And the scars on your soul
Your heart, and your face....
Will not allow you to speak
You don't even remember
What it felt like to breathe
Without inhaling the tension in the air
You can't pinpoint
The exact moment in your life
When aniticpation turned into being scared
Until you wake one morning
To a beautiful day
And realize that something's gotta give
Addiction to sadness
And substances alike
Is a way to die, not a way to live
