Where it began
And how far it would go
Two more for the count
Of things I'll never know

When it became clear
And I made a choice
For a change, I listened
To that inner voice

What time we spent
And secrets we shared
Did not go to waste
They're still lingering there........

I wish I could tell you
The reason we cannot continue
How much I wish you would realize
That you are a great guy
When you're sober and sincere
But you're there and I'm here

So I will say nothing else
And hope you get help
