The Nature Of Two Lovers
29 October, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
In the way that the sun shines upon us
Two lovers must do the same
And remain in balance with one another
While they evolve and change
In the way a poppy seed is sprouted
Two lovers should also do
Grow seperate from one another
But rely on the same roots
In the way a child reflects it's parents
Two lovers should bare resemblence
By educating one another
But still finding time to be a lover

Pamela (66.38.146.7) -- Monday, November 3 2003, 02:23 am I am delighted that you found this and read it because it holds a special place in my poetic heart. If you and your husband had this, you are applauded - because it isn't easy to do. Once again, thanks for commenting :o) |
Terrie* (65.148.232.11) -- Monday, November 3 2003, 05:19 am right you are.... it was not that easy but...we always managed to find the time for our moments of intimacy, w/o denying our children their quality time...but in all relationships there are sacrafices one must be willing to make. your poem is an excelent source to inspire on role change and acceptance..once again great writing, keep sharing. |
