I Thought I Knew Everything
13 September, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Just when I thought I had life figured out
And I had experienced the best and the worst
Like a slap in the face it was made clear
That I have so much more to go through first
So what? I've fallen in love more than once
And it's always ended in shattered remains
But have I ever felt such hopelessness
That is enough to drive me completely insane?
I've never had a best friend die
Or a family member leave the family
I'll probably never be pitpful poor
Because of the future provided for me
Somehow I wonder what made me think
That I could handle almost anything
Truth to be told, the only think I know
Is that I thought I knew everything
