Like Me
5 October, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Like a tiny droplet
Merged with thousands
Go with the flow
And fall to a pool
Of my own tears
Like a lone tree
Stranded in isolation
Let my roots grow
And become solid
After many years
Like a butterfly
Anticipating freedom
Spread wings slow
And I'm exposed
To all my fears

Pamela (66.38.146.7) -- Wednesday, October 15 2003, 03:44 am Wow, thanks Terrie, I am flattered at the use of the word exquisite towards my poems! This one is obviously extremely methaphrical, but so far it is one of my favorite new ones. Thanks again :o) |
