Cocoon
24 September, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
A butterfly
Is unspeakably beautiful
Precious & Innocent
After it emerges
From it's cocoon
Often short-lived
It still captures attention
From all who encounter
The spectacle of
Wings spreading
Love, is much like a butterfly
We must be patient
In awaiting the final result
And remember
To appreciate it's beauty

Ben (64.175.70.213) -- Thursday, September 25 2003, 06:23 pm Pamela, I like this poem's simplicity and beauty. Using the beautiful butterfly to illustrate the patience required when it comes to love. I also enjoy your positivenes and appreciation for life and beauty that kind of "glows" along with what you're expressing. Thank you! |
