Heart & Sound
4 August, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
I can hear my heart tonight
Portrayed by a simple song
Using no words, but telling me
Things I have known all along
The notes are flowing through my veins
The beat going strong and steady
Combining all of my emotions
Without asking if I was ready
Can you hear my heart tonight?
It's seeping from a stereo
The echoes always come back to me
Because they have nowhere else to go

Enchantress (206.216.224.67) -- Tuesday, August 5 2003, 09:44 pm Now this poem had all of it's depth in the emotions of a person. Like reading your own feelings, but in a different way. Great work! |
Pamela (194.125.159.96) -- Wednesday, August 6 2003, 06:30 pm I like you. Can you continue posting comments to this site please?! LOL I actually wrote this poem while I was listening to a musical piece from a film I once watched. And every time I listen to it, I write these really powerful poems. So I asked myself why, and I wrote this poem about that song-because my answer was that it is my heart in musical form. I am so glad that somebody knows what this feels like! |
MartinV (171.75.209.81) -- Wednesday, August 6 2003, 08:24 pm I hear your voice, so sweet and soft, playing with the memories, that soon will turn to dust. Yet, in your heart I wonder..., If memories are, truly, not the best of us. I hear your heart and love its sound, so soft and true, I wonder if, memories, are not the best of us. Thanks Pam! Great work, I loved, loved, it! MartinV |
