Questions 2 Ask Yourself At Night
12 June, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Deep inside of each one of us
There is a million things we would like to know
Break through that barrier of trust
And there is a thousand emotions we never show
At some time we have all had insomnia
Lying defenseless to the ticking of the clock
And we long to close those eyelids of ours
So our heart and subconscious can have a talk
Expose the questions we wouldn't dare ask
Appear from behind our protective masks
How can the stars be so far out of reach?
Why can't we hold them in a jar to keep?
Should everything I feel be said?
Are there any logical thoughts in my head?
How many hours have I dedicated to worry?
When was the last time someone told me a GOOD story?
These are questions 2 ask yourself @ night
When there's little or next to no daylight
So the answers will be truthfully right
So the sleeping world can't put up a fight
