Things I Never Tell
26 May, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
I never tell a friend
If I don't like their hair, outfits, or other friends
I never tell a lover
If I am uncomfortable being naked around them
I never tell myself
That it's going to be okay if I know it really isn't
I never tell anyone else
Anything that isn't really any of their business
I never tell my mother
How much I actually admire her
I never tell my reflection
That it must achieve perfection
I never tell how much it means to me
To share the things I never tell through my poetry
