I Was Meant To Be
9 May, 2003
Author: Pamela O'Brien
I think I was meant to be a bird
Not just a girl
Because I love to spread my wings
And I have an instinct to sing
I have a nest I like to call home
But my heart also loves to roam
Sailing all above and below
As far as the wind will let me go
I think I am meant to be a bird
And not just a girl
Because I am in love with the sky
My desire is to fly

Dino (65.57.71.219) -- Saturday, May 10 2003, 04:48 am "Fly away little bird, let that little bird fly away". I like this poem. I was watching this little bird today when I got home. She couldn't fly, mama and daddy bird trying to protect her in my lawn. Trying desperately to fly. Her desire to fly, but could only hop around and flap her wings. I learn long time ago, not to mess with mother nature. Hopefully she'll spread her wings and fly and sing. She was meant to fly! Nice poem, thanks Pam! |
