Misunderstood
10 November, 2002
Author: Pamela Keys Ratcliff
Perhaps I can explain,
Why I have reacted this way,
I know it was not intended,
For me to feel offended,
But it's myself that is to blame.
You see I am angry with myself,
Not anyone else,
Because I took someone's words,
And didn't give the credit they deserved,
Because I was too preoccupied with how I felt.
I personally am embarassed,
That I could be so careless,
And I heard you say you weren't mad,
But you have to understand,
Your opinion, I have always cherished.
So I wanted to get your attention,
And say it was never my intention,
To put on a "facade" of any kind,
I'm just taking some time,
To forgive MYSELF for my actions.
